Anna Ruut

Investment Team

Anna is TDM’s trader. She finds the best way to explain her job to people unfamiliar with dealing, or trading, as “a combination of shopping and playing a video game”. She also actively supports the TDM Foundation – taking the lead in evaluating cutting-edge medical researchers whom we support through Hearts and Minds (ASX: HM1) and our impact measurement philosophy and reporting.

Anna is a sports fanatic, having competed in everything from sailing to AFL – she even has represented Australia in ice hockey. From skippering a yacht in Greece, to climbing Mt Etna, Anna is never far from tackling a challenge (or more secretly a karaoke night featuring Disney musicals).

ANNA’S PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

Eight years as an investment manager at Macquarie Asset Management, trading for portfolios spanning global markets and covering a range of strategies.

THE VALUE SHE ALIGNS MOST WITH: Patience With Urgency

“The path to achieving our goals is rarely smooth. I am very grateful I have played so much sport as it has taught me to be resilient, optimistic, never give up and to keep chipping away.”

TDM TEAM MEMBER SINCE: June 2020
