You could say that James either never really had an interview at TDM, or that he underwent a five year interview as the Chief Strategy Officer of a portfolio company.
As a portfolio executive, he consistently displayed all the skills and values necessary to succeed at TDM. When his days as an operator came to an end (culminating in leading the deal team for the largest ASX IPO of 2019), it made for a very natural transition to the TDM Investment Team.
At TDM, beyond core investment team duties James specifically supports Block, leads our private company opportunity funnel, and advises other companies on growth.
As a proud Englishman, University of Cambridge history graduate, and father of two, outside of TDM you’ll find James spending as much time as possible in his Land Rover Defender, with a history book in hand, or on the beach with his family (ideally all at once).
